Niuland is a district where the hills meets the plains; with its lush green paddy fields, tea gardens and clear streams and lake it presents a picturesque landscape. In addition it shares boundary with Kohima, Dimapur, Chumukedima, Tseminyu and Wokha and inter-state boundary with Assam. It can act as transit spot for international tourists or locals who wishes for weekend get-away.
